Connect to your Cpanel. In the Software section you will find : <\/p>\n\n

“MultiPHP Manager allows you to set the “EasyApache PHP or CloudLinux PHP” version through Cpanel. <\/p>\n\n

“Select PHP Version” allows you to set the PHP version of CloudLinux on which you can manage PHP extensions and options.<\/p>\n\n

NB: <\/strong>EasyApache is available up to version php 7.4, while the CloudLinux version is available up to version 8.1.<\/p>\n\n

In practice<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

I want to install a new version of Joomla which requires a minimum version of php7.2.5 but recommends using php8.0 or higher.<\/p>\n\n

In this case, we’ll be using a php8.1 version of CloudLinux. (in order to manually manage php options and extensions. <\/p>\n\n

MultiPHP Manager<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

First of all, we need to specify in the MultiPHP Manager <\/strong>that we want to use Cloudlinux (alt-phpxx) and not EasyApache (ea-phpxx), if you haven’t already done so: <\/p>\n\n

  1. Select the desired domain or sub-domain<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Click on the drop-down menu<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Choose the php version you want (PHP8.1(alt-php81) in our case)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Click on “Apply<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

    Then you can see that the PHP version has changed: <\/p>\n\n

    Select PHP Version<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

    We will now define the use of php via CloudLinux :<\/p>\n\n

    In our case, we’ll click on“native (5.6) (current)<\/strong>” and then on version“8.1<\/strong>“. <\/p>\n\n

    Then click on“set as current<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n\n

    On my domain, I see that the PHP version is still not managed by CloudLinux : <\/p>\n\n

    To apply our CloudLinux configuration, we need to click on “Use PHP Selector”.<\/p>\n\n

    Then confirm the action: <\/p>\n\n

    Now we have the CloudLinux logo: <\/p>\n\n

    From the extensions menu you can manage the add-ons for the php version you are currently using: <\/p>\n\n

    You’ll need to check for errors such as “extension php-zip is missing” during installation. This is where you activate the module concerned. <\/p>\n\n
