You can store up to 1,000 contacts and 48 groups in your phone\u2019s local directory. You can add new groups and contacts, edit, delete or search for a contact, or simply dial a contact from the local phonebook.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Utilisationt\u00e9l\u00e9phoneYealinkT42etT46-Ajouterdescontacts\"><strong>Add contacts<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can add contacts to the local directory in any of the following ways:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Manually<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>From call history<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Utilisationt\u00e9l\u00e9phoneYealinkT42etT46-Ajouterdescontactsmanuellement\">Add contacts manually<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>To add a contact to the local directory manually :<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Press the <strong>Menu<\/strong> function button <strong>and use the arrows to select \u201cPhone book\u201d, then press \u201cOK\u201d and select \u201cLocal phone book\u201d.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the desired contact group, then press <strong>\u201cOK\u201d<\/strong>. If the contact you wish to add does not belong to any group, select <strong>All contacts<\/strong>, then press <strong>\u201cOK\u201d<\/strong>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Press the <strong>Add<\/strong> function key.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.dfi.ch\/download\/attachments\/131761908\/image2020-4-15_16-50-16.png?version=1&modificationDate=1717070835000&api=v2\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">  4. Press <strong>\u201cOK<\/strong> or the <strong>\u201cSelect\u201d<\/strong> softkey to select the desired account in the<strong>\u201cAccount\u201d<\/strong> field.<br\/> If <strong>Auto<\/strong> is selected, the phone will use the default account to call the contact from the local directory.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">  6. Press the <strong>\u201cSave\u201d <\/strong>function key to accept the change, and the entry is successfully saved in the local directory.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Utilisationt\u00e9l\u00e9phoneYealinkT42etT46-Supprimerl'historiquedesappels\"><strong>Delete call history<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Utilisationt\u00e9l\u00e9phoneYealinkT42etT46-Poursupprimertouteslesentr\u00e9esdel'historiquedesappels:\">To delete all call history entries :<\/h3>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Press the <strong>Menu<\/strong> function button <strong>and use the arrows to select \u201cHistory\u201d and press \u201cOK\u201d.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Press <img decoding=\"async\" width=\"30\" src=\"https:\/\/support.dfi.ch\/download\/thumbnails\/131761908\/image2020-4-15_17-1-30.png?version=1&modificationDate=1717070834000&api=v2\" alt=\"\"\/> or <img decoding=\"async\" width=\"30\" src=\"https:\/\/support.dfi.ch\/download\/thumbnails\/131761908\/image2020-4-15_17-1-36.png?version=1&modificationDate=1717070834000&api=v2\" alt=\"\"\/> to toggle between <strong>\u201cAll calls, Missed, Placed, Received <\/strong>and<strong> Forwarded\u201d<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Press the <strong>\u201cOption\u201d<\/strong> function key, then select <strong>\u201cDelete all\u201d<\/strong> from the drop-down list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Press the <strong>\u201cOK\u201d<\/strong> softkey.<br\/>The LCD screen displays <strong>\u201cDelete all call records?<\/strong><br\/><img decoding=\"async\" height=\"250\" src=\"https:\/\/support.dfi.ch\/download\/attachments\/131761908\/image2020-4-15_17-1-11.png?version=1&modificationDate=1717070834000&api=v2\" alt=\"\"\/><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Press the <strong>\u201cOK\u201d<\/strong> function key to confirm deletion, or the <strong>\u201cCancel\u201d<\/strong> function key to cancel.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Utilisationt\u00e9l\u00e9phoneYealinkT42etT46-NePasD\u00e9ranger(NPD)ouDoNotDisturb(DND)\"><strong>Ne Pas D\u00e9ranger (NPD) or Do Not Disturb (DND)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can use NPD mode to automatically reject incoming calls on the phone. The message \u201d <strong>n New Missed Calls)<\/strong> \u201d (\u201cn\u201d indicating the number of missed calls) will appear on the LCD, and callers will receive a message indicating that the line is busy. All calls received when NPD mode is activated are recorded in your missed calls list. You can customize <strong>NPD<\/strong> mode for each account or for all accounts.   <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Utilisationt\u00e9l\u00e9phoneYealinkT42etT46-PouractiverlemodeNPD\">To activate NPD mode<\/h3>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Press the <strong>NPD (Do Not Disturb)<\/strong> function key when the phone is idle. If you activate NPD mode for the default account, the associated line icon will change to <img decoding=\"async\" width=\"30\" src=\"https:\/\/support.dfi.ch\/download\/thumbnails\/131761908\/image2020-4-15_17-3-25.png?version=1&modificationDate=1717070834000&api=v2\" alt=\"\"\/>, and the <img decoding=\"async\" width=\"30\" src=\"https:\/\/support.dfi.ch\/download\/thumbnails\/131761908\/image2020-4-15_17-3-32.png?version=1&modificationDate=1717070834000&api=v2\" alt=\"\"\/>icon will appear in the status bar. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you activate NPD mode for an account other than the default account, only the associated line icon will change to <img decoding=\"async\" width=\"30\" src=\"https:\/\/support.dfi.ch\/download\/thumbnails\/131761908\/image2020-4-15_17-3-50.png?version=1&modificationDate=1717070834000&api=v2\" alt=\"\"\/>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Incoming calls on the specific line will be automatically rejected, and the LCD display will show the message \u201d <strong>n New Missed Call(s)<\/strong> \u201d (\u201cn\u201d indicating the number of missed calls, e.g.: 1 New Missed Call(s)). <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/support.dfi.ch\/download\/attachments\/131761908\/image2020-4-15_17-4-4.png?version=1&modificationDate=1717070834000&api=v2\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">NB: <em>When both NPD and \u201cforward if busy\u201d modes are activated for a specific account, calls received on this account will be forwarded to the configured destination number.<\/em><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Utilisationt\u00e9l\u00e9phoneYealinkT42etT46-Renvoyerunappel\"><strong>Call forwarding<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can configure your phone to forward incoming calls to another person (static call forwarding).
