How can I order an SSL certificate?

When you order certificates, your account information will be taken at the time of ordering, so make sure it’s up to date and correct.

With DFi support

Certificates can now be ordered by sending an e-mail to support@dfi.ch, attaching the following form and duly completed:

We will return the CSR and Key to you.

You are responsible for installing the certificate.

The CSR is only the first part in green in the example above.

Never lose your PRIVATE KEY, otherwise you’ll never be able to install a certificate and will be forced to recommend another one.
Always copy your certificates into notepads, never into advanced editors that add capital letters and distort your CSR, rendering it invalid.

When ordering an SSL certificate, please ensure that one of the following e-mail accounts exists for your domain:

Validation requests will be sent to one of these addresses.

SSL certificate orders take more or less time, depending on the certificates requested.

Once the order has been placed, you will receive a validation email to check that you are the originator of the request.

Please check emails from the domain @thawte.com or @geotrust.com, as without validation via their email no certificate will be transmitted.

Once the e-mail has been validated, you will receive an e-mail at the same address with the certificate signed by the CA.
