To create an FTP account, proceed as follows:
Click on the
icon in your cPanel.

Enter the desired user name in the text box.
- Enter and confirm the new password in the appropriate text boxes.
notes:
- The system quality of the password you enter is on a 100-point scale. 0 indicates a weak password, while 100 indicates a highly secure password.
- Click on Password Generator to generate a strong password.
- Enter the FTP account home directory.
notes:
- The Directory text box defines the top level of the new FTP account for directory access. For example, if you enter example in the Directory text box, the FTP account can access the /home/$user/example/ directory and all its sub-directories.
- The system automatically fills this text field with public_html/domain.tld/account where account represents the user name you entered in the login text box and domain.tld represents the domain you have selected in the domain menu.
- Enter the disk space quota, or select Unlimited.
- Click on Create FTP account. The new account appears in the FTP account table.
Important information:
If an FTP account is having problems with downloads, you may need to increase the quota value.
Finally, click on Create FTP Account.
